Preview Homearama and Help Children

St. Mary’s Home for Disabled Children is throwing a party to preview the Tidewater Builders Association’s Fall 2010 Homearama and raise funds that will go directly to the care and comfort of the children and young adults who live at the Home.

The Fall 2010 Homearama is Oct. 16-31 in Norfolk’s coastal East Beach community. Guests at the Charity Preview Party on Friday, Oct. 15, will be the first to tour Homearama’s nine custom homes and a condominium home, including the Charity House that will benefit the children of St. Mary’s Home. Gates open at 5 p.m., with an awards ceremony to begin at 5:30 p.m.

Tickets cost $50 in advance and $55 on the day of the event. Only 1,200 tickets are available. Tickets may be purchased at St. Mary’s Home for Disabled Children, 6171 Kempsville Circle, Norfolk; at Tidewater Builders Association, 2117 Smith Ave., Chesapeake; or online at www.homearama.tv. For more information, call (757) 622-2208 ext. 328.

The one-of-a-kind Charity House, called “The St. Mary,” was designed by Cox, Kliewer & Company and built by Scott Crumley of Crumley Group. The home’s interior design was contributed by professionals from the International Interior Design Association.
