Protecting the privacy of families with children at St. Mary’s Home is our responsibility. Reporters, film crews and photographers must be accompanied by a staff member while visiting the Home or the grounds.
St. Mary’s Home never releases last names of residents.
Notice of on-site interviews is needed so we can arrange a location and inform residents, families and staff. We will contact families upon your request to arrange interviews.
Please identify staff members by their titles and use the complete name of the institution – St. Mary’s Home for Disabled Children – on first reference and St. Mary's Home or the Home thereafter.
Under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996, no specific information is made available to any member of the media unless St. Mary’s Home receives written authorization from a resident’s parent or guardian.
Residents may only be photographed or videotaped if their legal guardians have signed a release form.
